Defending a company in a damages lawsuit over alleged software copyright infringement

Global software companies and others sued a Korean company for damages relating to software copyright.

Attorney Jaehoon Lee represented the defendant company in the damages lawsuit and the mediation proceedings.

At issue were whether the parties could reach an agreement to resolve the software copyright damages claims and what terms would be appropriate for resolving the dispute.

As counsel of record for the defendant company, Attorney Lee took part in the court proceedings and reviewed the possibility of mediation with the other side.

In particular, in the court's mediation proceedings he presented terms that the client could accept, reviewed the other side's position and the direction of mediation proposed by the court, and worked toward resolving the dispute.
